I bought this due to a shoulder injury in the past and I was really short arming the ball. My shoulder would hurt after 5 minutes of throwing. Since purchasing this I can throw for much longer with the team that I coach and my son. It is a little uncomfortable on the arm, but it has greatly improved my throwing.

I purchased this for my son who was prone to throwing side arm instead of the more "over the top" throwing style. Due to the design of this piece of equipment, it did not inhibit the side arm motion as was advertised and it just slid down his arm as he threw. This occurred no matter how tight we attached it. [$]

My daugher wore this product maybe 5 or 6 times. At practice and games. Uncomfortable, yes. She had a little bruising because it is not comfortable if you throw incorrectly while wearing it. But it DID break her of her side arm throwing habit. She is back to throwing correctly and hard. She no longer wears the brace.

I have a 13yo daughter that plays travel fastpitch softball, she needed adjustments to her throwing mechanics and the ThrowMax was suggested to me. Upon ordering/receiving ThrowMax, it was used and within 2 weeks her throwing mechanics were improving. Unfortunately, the ThrowMax has no durability as the center bar snapped in half and the larger outer bar popped through its sleave.
The first ThrowMax was exchanged for a second one. The second ThrowMax lasted about 30 minutes before the velcro separated from the material/lower band rendering the second ThrowMax unusable; again, absolutely no durability. The second ThrowMax was subsquently returned.
The ThrowMax is conceptually a great idea; however, the execuation of the idea failed as the product has not durability.

When using this product with kids, the stigma attached to wearing the device helps accelerate their improvement. Best when used during throwing warm-ups and pitching practice.

My daughter uses the arm brace for about 10 minutes of practice. It has helped her straighten out her arm in only a few uses. It is flexible enough to allow movement of the elbow so you don't hurt arm. It is also easy for my daughter to put on by herself and adjust. Suggestion to use over a long sleeve shirt to reduce rubbing on bare skin.
