Choosing the profile of a wood bat that fits your strengths, your swing path, and your bat speed shouldn’t be a difficult task. Rawlings has developed a simple guide to steer you into the right profile based on the unique attributes of each bat.
SWEET SPOT: What makes each profile unique is generally the diameter and length of the barrel. A larger flat barrel will offer the hitter the most forgiveness when not squaring a pitch up.
POWER: Each profile inherits a wood density which contributes to the hardness of the barrel and the velocity in which a ball comes off it. In short, the higher the density, the higher the exit
velo. Density and Sweet Spot work together to help maximize your exit velo.
